1961 On the 4th of August Barack Hussein Obama Jr. was born in Honolulu, Hawaii, USA; his mother, Stanley Ann Dunham, was from Kansas and his father, Barack Obama Sr. was from Kenya. A part of his childhood was spent with grandparents. He is the 44th president of the USA who deals now with the second term at White House. He is the first African American man elected as president in the history of the USA.
1967-1987 Obama attended an Indonesian language teaching school in Jakarta, Indonesia.
1979 He graduated with honours the famous private preparatory school in Punahou, in Honolulu, Hawaii.
1979-1981 After graduating high school he attended for two years Occidental College in Los Angeles.
1981 He moved to New York where he studied political sciences at Columbia University being specialized in international relations.
1983 He was licensed within Columbia University, New York.
1985 Barack Obama moved to Chicago where he began the career by organizing the community of South Side city that had as purpose the rebuilding the community which had been devastated by the closing of local steel plants.
1991 He graduated the Law at Harvard University in Massachusetts, USA.
1992 Barack Obama married Michelle Obama. Together they have two daughters: Malia and Sasha.
1993-2004 During this period he taught Constitutional Law at Law Faculty in Chicago.
1996 Obama was elected member of Senate of Illinois state.
1998-2002 Obama was reelected for Senate in Illinois.
2003 On January Obama became president of Commission for Health and Human Services of Senate in Illinois after Democrats had become majority for the first time after 10 years.
2004-2008 He became senator of American state Illinois.
2007 On the 10th of February Obama announced his candidature for being President of the United States.
2008 He was elected the 44th president of the USA being sustained by Democratic Party.
2009 On the 20th of January he was appointed as president of the USA replacing George W. Bush. On the 9th of October Barack Obama was laureate of Nobel Award for Peace “for his extraordinary efforts to strengthen the cooperation between peoples”.
2012 He was reelected president of the USA.
